The good news of Jesus is too good not to share! Locally, we put our faith into action by operating a food bank that is open every Monday morning from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. We participate in establishing new churches in Oregon through the Oregon Christian Evangelistic Fellowship. Christian camping is supported through Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp, located on the Oregon Coast. We also are involved in the Oregon Christian Convention, which has been meeting in Turner since 1885. Many of our members are also residents of Turner Retirement Homes (TRH), so we're pleased to support this benevolent institution on a regular basis. TRH offers a variety of living arrangements for seniors, including apartments, duplexes, manufactured homes, cottages and octaplexes. We encourage Christian higher education through Pugent Sound Christian College (Everett, WA), Emmanuel School of Religion (Johnson City, TN), and Osaka Bible Seminary (Osaka, Japan). We also support the following cross-cultural missionaries: Dr. Bob and Karon Chapman (Kenya), Keith and Kathy Ham (Kenya), Ben Hirotaka (Japan), Scott and Annelle Price (Tanzania), and Jerry and My McNew (Satus Indian Mission, Toppenish, WA). Individual members of Turner Christian Church also support a wide variety of other Christian Colleges, ministries, and parachurch organizations. |
