Turner Christian Church maintains three women's groups serving all ages. Our Young Women's group is a "self help" group that focuses on growing in their relationship with Christ. During the summer months they take a break from study and indulge in more social activities. Their meetings are held at the church at 6:30 pm on the 1st and 3rd Fridays each month. Their meetings always include refreshments and child care.
Our TLC group (Tender Loving Care) meets in various members' homes once a month on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:00 pm. They also engage in a discipleship study program and enjoy social activities. This is a group consisting primarily of career women who prefer evening activities. No child care is provided for this group.
Our senior ladies have a group that meets at the church once a month on the 3rd Thursday, at 2:00 pm. This group does a variety of things, including study, hosting guest speakers, and even taking an occasional field trip to places such as Oregon Gardens and the coast. This group is mainly made up of women of retirement age who enjoy fellowship in a small group.
All three groups meet regularly September through May. Sometimes they share together in joint activities. Every December there is a craft night where all the ladies fellowship together making Christmas crafts. In May, they enjoy a Mother and Daughter Tea. In addition, every other month throughout the year they gather as "Celebration Sisters" at a luncheon to honor our senior ladies who have had birthdays. These are all the wonderful times of fellowship with ladies who love the Lord.
