Trunk or Treat 2020

We are so excited to be hosting out Trunk or Treat event this year! Our goal is to provide the Turner Community with a safe place to get some candy and have some fun this Halloween. Of course, safety means something different in 2020, so our Trunk or Treat is going to look a little different this year. Scroll down to see the different activities we will be offering, as well as our plan for keeping everyone safe. We hope to see you this year!

  • Trunk or Treating

    • Looking for a safe way to trick-or-treat this year? We will have decorated cars lined up along the front of our church building where you can show off your costume, enjoy the car decorations, and of course get some candy! (see below for how we are safely distributing candy)

  • Scavenger Hunt

    • Can you find the objects hidden in each of our trunks? Spot them all and receive a special prize at the end of the trunk-or-treating course!

  • Pumpkin-Carving Contest

    • Bring your carved pumpkin with you and submit it to our pumpkin-carving contest! Winners will be contacted the following week to receive their prize!

  • Raffle

    • Every kid who attends can put their name in a raffle for one of our raffle prizes! Winners will be contacted the following week to pick up their prize!

  • Photobooth

    • Get your whole group together in your costumes and get your picture taken at our photobooth!

Safety is very important to us, and we have planned this event to make it as safe as possible:

  • Everything will take place outside. In past years we have had carnival games in the sanctuary. This year, we will only be offering activities outside.

  • We will be practicing social distancing, including sending groups through the Trunk-or-Treating area one at a time so there is only one group at each trunk.

  • All candy will be pre-bagged and laid out on the ground for kids to pick up, so nothing will be handed back and forth between people.

  • Our other activities (scavenger hunt, pumpkin-carving contest, raffle, and photobooth) are specifically designed to be socially-distant.

  • Our volunteers will be wearing masks, and we encourage participants to wear masks as well.
