You have probably seen some of our recent announcements regarding "Item of the Month" needs for our Shoebox ministry. That's because in just a few short weeks, our local Operation Christmas Child Connect Team of year round volunteers will be hosting our Annual Community Packing Party in Salem. We will be packing 2,000 Shoeboxes on Sunday, August 16, from 2:00 — 4:00 pm. This fun and joyful event will take place at 2545 4th St NE, which is the address of the Salem Evangelical Church Activity Center.
Whether or not you have ever participated in a Shoebox packing party, this is a great opportunity for you to be a part of a really BIG missions impact. Through much follow up regarding the ripple effect of a Shoebox, we have great confidence that these 2,000 Shoeboxes will go on to impact at least 16,000 to 20,000 lives in the communities that they reach. That's because each of the children who receives a Shoebox will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and will then share that with their family and friends. God truly multiplies His Word through these simple gifts, and we look forward to sharing this most awesome ministry opportunity with you and your family.

If you have questions about this Packing Party or other ways in which you can participate in this ministry, please contact Ann Stoker at 503-910-3187.

Shoeboxes will be shipped in November 2026.
An announcement was made recently that Crayola crayons were on sale and we needed 3000 8-pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. The congregation responded by providing enough funds to purchase 2000 boxes of crayons.
Thank you for your generosity!
